You often speak of following logic and reason.. Yet state that the divine beings(our brethren who have completed the walk) communicate to us through emotions, so ought we to listen to them as well? Do you wish to mean we should use discernment with our emotions, as they can also be a product of our minds deception? I just wanted to say thank you for your articles. They stimulate me in A unique way in which is unobtained from other material.

I do appreciate your comments and am so glad that we have been of service to you.

Yes- our emotions are a way for those who speak to us to guides us but just like you said, they are there not only to guide us in the right direction but to give us options. How we follow the path of life is a choice. We are given choices and the path that leads us to destruction must be as loud as the one that leads us to redemption and eventual immortality.

Our guides must give us both the good choice and the evil choice. As you can imagine, we are drawn to the path of least resistance. This is the path also, to self-deceit. It the job of our guides to show us both paths and to try and get us to follow the path of greatest resistance!

It is easy to destroy the clock, we take a hammer and we hit it. However, if we destroy the clock it is difficult to rebuild it. We are all given the chance to destroy the clock and we do it, we are chastised until we are motivated to rebuild it. When we begin to truly listen, we develop the self-discipline, long suffering, patience, courage and strength to rebuild and in so doing, become master builders. You can't pretend to have courage, strength, self-discipline, etc. You have to actually be those things. In order to become those capable of living in an immortal community, we must become master builders. We can't just pretend we overcame the challenges of life, we must actually do it- we must do the necessary work! However, there are those on the earth, who do pretend. They might be able to fool themselves and those around them but they can't fool God.

Our guides do manipulate our emotions. Our emotions can be sweet sentiment, for instance the emotions we get when we miss a loved one- but we have destructive emotions also. These emotions always, always, always lead us in the wrong direction. The decisions that we make when we under the influence of these emotions are there just to see how far we've come, how well we are evolving. Never make decisions when our guides are manipulating us in this way! They do this for good reason but we must overcome these emotions and we must do it while we are on the earth.

It is one thing to have sweet emotions, sweet sentiment; it is yet another to make decisions when we are emotional. It is best not to allow our emotions to guide us when we need to make decisions!

I hope this helps and I am always glad to answer these great questions!

Good luck on your journey-
J.S. Thompson
