We just had another person ask a question regarding this same matter, of which you can read my answer to them as well if you like...
God didn't create the food chain…man did! The entire concept of temporarily living the façade of mortal lives as we do while we are on earth… is a man-made process. However, God takes our mistakes and uses it to our advantage. God never intended for man to run from their issues but rather to work them out in a protected environment. . However, man in their short sightedness, felt they could out think God which is pretty stupid and thus the cycle of life and death was created. There comes a time for all of us someday, when we finally get it and then we can move on.
