Response
J.S. Thompson’s Response:
You’re being guided; whenever we need to make a choice, you have those who surround you who are there to help you make the right choice. However, you must have free will and all they can do is to attempt to influence you in the way that they can. All choices are always up to the individual. We often go against our better judgment or take the path of least resistance, moving in the direction of our desires. Let me caution against that; however, our conscious desires are often misinterpretations of our true desires which have not yet completely rationalized. That being said, if we take some time when it’s time to make a decision, we will hear a voice inside of us that will say to us to go this way or that. We know when we are making a bad choice, we know that this will probably end up badly, so, why do we do it? Anything that contradicts “our” limited world or personal view will always be the path of greatest resistance! Think about it. Resistance is what makes us strong. Why is it that our desires often take us down a path of destruction? The answer being that truth is specific; we can only obtain it if we learn to listen! Most of us are too impatient to listen to logic! We want to follow our desires.
If our desires are not eternal in nature, if they do not lead us to eternal peace, love and happiness, then our desires lead us in the wrong direction. Anything that is not eternal is not real! Anything that is not eternal is a fantasy….it doesn’t last! We need to make a decision; are we in this for the long haul? This is the message that God is constantly giving to us when we seek direction. Regardless of how you see God, your guiding spirit or the universe, etc.; however, you wish to define it… the message is always the same, “Follow the path of your truest desire and find everything that you yearn for!”
Good luck on your journey….
