If you believe in an afterlife: When someone contracts a neurological condition that changes their personality over a long time period (and makes them less capable of joy), which version gets sent to the afterlife?

Everything we are inside (issues to overcome) when we leave the earth, you are when you arrive “out there-Solamenta”. However, we start over in a new Body; therefore, we no longer have the physical disabilities we had on the earth. Our education continues and we are given the opportunity to “see ourselves for we truly are” and in so doing transform into those capable of living in an immortal society eternally.
