Yes, when we pray for people, they hear us! Our prayers are telepathic communication. When we pray, it is like going on the telepathic Internet. Those we pray for are alerted. It makes us feel good to know that people remember us. Our deceased brothers and sisters need all of the support that they can get. When we pray for our loved ones, they can hear our prayers. When they pray for us, we can hear them in another way. When they talk to us we hear it with our feelings and emotions.
Always pray for your loved ones, do it often. Pray for guidance, pray for truth, pray with your heart. Not only do our our loved ones hear our prayers but God hears them as well. God blesses the righteous heart that speaks well of the deceased but also prays for those who still remain on the earth. Pray for your self to become the type of person that will live in Paradise forever and in so doing, serve those who will follow you.
